Indoor

With less light, the quality of light makes a substantial difference in terms of tint and direction. Indoor photography is considerably more difficult than outdoor photography.

External lighting is indispensable, as it maximises the light, and makes day and night shooting possible, so think about investing in a light-weight lighting kit.

To get the best of the light indoors, shoot in manual to avoid the camera’s exposure setting stepping in. Using a higher ISO such as 1600 indoors is beneficial, as it maximizes the light indoors, and allows for a faster shutter speed to reduce blur from overexposure. Minding the white balance indoors is crucial, so shoot on a RAW file so you can more easily adjust the WB later in editing if needed.
